Menorca Weather

The holiday island of Menorca enjoys a classic Mediterranean climate, with long hot summers and mild winters.

Menorca boasts on average over 300 days of sunshine every year and typically 11 hours daily during the summer months. The summer season in Menorca begins in early May and runs through to October.

The explosions of greens present throughout the rest of the year are beautiful and unique to this part of Spain.
The island has a very particular relationship with the wind: the absence of natural obstacles leaves the landscape exposed.

Famously, the powerful tramontanas have a profound effect on the environment: the trees and shrubs take on strange leaning formations, and plants and buildings alike are scoured. However, the winds do guarantee clear skies, a clean atmosphere and radiant sunshine.

Extremely low temperatures are unknown and snowfall is rare even in midwinter.
