Things To Do and See in Ibiza

You'll be amazed at the variety of things to do within Ibiza. There really is something for everyone.

Ibiza offers a splendor of culinary delights as it tickles your savory taste buds to a whole new experience. Imagine this: dinner on the beaches by the light of the stars, sipping chilled white wine and listening to the gentle sounds of the sea. Or maybe you could enjoy the tastiest Spanish specialties on the shady terraces of a beautiful country restaurant. If that’s not enough, soak up the atmosphere of Ibiza by night in the romantic, pavement-side restaurants of the Old Town.

Ibiza Town really is the most fascinating part of the island, day or night. Here you will see, in glorious living colour, a concentration of all the attractions and eccentricities which have made Ibiza world famous. Here you will find the Cathedral, in the heart of the walled city. It was recently declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. The views from the Cathedral are stunning, you will see the neighbouring islands and beyond. This work of art was constructed in the 14th century over an Arab mosque. This Gothic Cathedral houses priceless artifacts such as a 14th century gilded silver monstrance and an altarpiece in honor of St. Gregory and is dedicated to Our Lady.
The Las Salinas Salt Flats, located on the southern tip of the island is where the most photogenic views in Ibiza are found. The salt fields have been used for over 2000 years. As the water evaporates during the hot summer months, a sparkling layer of pure salt is left on the bottom of the lakes; eye catching especially during sunsets.

A definite excursion for any trip to Ibiza is a day trip over to the tranquil island of Formentera. The island is just as beautiful as Ibiza, with many of the beaches being compared to the Caribbean. Ferries from Ibiza town or boats from many of the resorts will take you on a short journey to the sister island of Ibiza.
